Woody brings over 18 years of tax and accounting experience. He earned his BBA in Accounting from College of the Southwest in 1998 and later earned a Masters of Science in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation from Texas Tech University in 2000.
Woody has spent most his career in public accounting where he has assisted clients with a wide array of accounting and tax issues. Woody’s career also includes over four years in the private sector where he served as the Chief Financial Officer for a large Manufacturing organization until recently returning to public accounting and joining McMahon Vinson Bennett, LLP in 2016.
Woody is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, the local chapter of TSCPA and has served the community by being involved in numerous different civic activities including: TSCPA South Plains Chapter, CASA of the South Plains, and Lubbock Habitat for Humanity. Woody was also heavily involved in the United Way, previously serving as Board Member, Treasurer, Finance Chair, Stewardship Committee, Account Executive, Loaned Executive.
Outside of work, Woody enjoys hunting, trout fishing, following Texas Tech athletics and spending time with his wife, Frances, and their two children, Emily and Brandon.
